» With over 50 diverse restaurants in a ¾ mile stretch, this tour might as well require a passport to join!

» While the focus is on the stories behind the dishes, you’ll also leave with an appreciation for the eclectic art and rich history of the area.

» You’ll meet with local chefs, restaurateurs, and other industry experts to discover the stories and inspiration behind the food.

» Count on a mix of 5 unique hand-picked “mom-n-pop” restaurants, ranging from authentic Mexican and Peruvian to Haitian and so much more.

» Explore historic Central Ave and learn about the food and culture with a local guide.

Other information

Eat a light breakfast. There is plenty of food on the tour for a filling lunch. We suggest not making an early dinner reservation on the day of your tour.

Tours occur rain or shine.

Wear comfortable clothing and good walking shoes.

Compared to the downtown Jersey City tour, we’ll visit more eateries in a shorter amount of time, with the majority of tastings conducted while standing.

Because most locations do not have a liquor license, we will only be having non-alcoholic beverage tastings at one or two locations. A water bottle will be provided. If you’re looking for alcoholic pairings, consider booking a Taste of Downtown Jersey City Tour!
